Doula Services

“Doulas can empower women to achieve the best birth outcomes possible, and all outcomes — for births, infants, and mothers — seem to be affected more positively if support is provided by a doula in addition to the medical personnel. The doula focuses on individualized support before, during, and after birth; whereas nurses often are attending to several women in labor and responsible for many clinical and administrative tasks besides direct labor support”

Doula Services & Labor Support

What is a Birth Doula and why do you want one?

Birth Doula offers continuous, non-medical, emotional and physical support for the birthing parents through pregnancy and birth. My two main goals are that the birthing Mom feels confident and fully supported in her decision making throughout pregnancy and birth. And that the birthing partner feels that they were confidently able to support their loved one.

Doulas come equipped to physically support parents with comforting touches, breathing techniques, and gentle pressure to help relieve a mother’s discomfort. Emotionally, doulas encourage and empower moms to work through the birth process to find what feels best and most natural to the birthing mom.

According to the latest study by Bohren published a Cochrane review, research has found that continuous support through labor showed:

  • 39% decrease in the risk of Cesarean with the use of continuous doula support

  • 15% increase in the likelihood of a spontaneous vaginal birth with continuous doula support

  • 10% decrease in the use of any medications for pain relief

  • Shorter labors by almost an hour on average

  • 38% decrease in the baby’s risk of a low five minute Apgar score

  • 31% decrease in the risk of being dissatisfied with the birth experience

About Me

Hi, I’m Jessie—a Christian holistic doula, wife of 16 years, and mama to two miracle children. My calling to birth work was forged through my own story of high-risk pregnancies, a preterm traumatic first birth with a NICU stay, and a deeply redemptive second birth. Having walked through fear, surrender, grief, and healing myself, I know how vulnerable and transformative birth can be—and how much it matters who stands beside you in those moments.

I uniquely serve mothers by offering a calm, faith-anchored presence when everything can feel raw and open. I strive to be deeply attentive, intuitive, and steady—to hold space without rushing, fixing, or overpowering the moment. I believe birth is holy ground, and that women are often changed forever in the quiet, unseen hours of labor. My role is to protect that space with gentleness, wisdom, prayer, and joy, helping mothers feel safe, seen, and strengthened as they step into a new chapter of their story.

I am a certified birth doula through the Women Serving Women Doula Program, and I am committed to continued learning so I can serve families with both compassion and skill. My continuing education includes a one-day Spinning Babies® workshop, completion of a VBAC and Cesarean Doula Training Program, Pelvic Mechanics Course for Birth and Movement Professionals through MamasteFit and a birth-worker breastfeeding clinic with WNY Orofacial. I am currently pursuing certification as a Certified Lactation Coach to better support my postpartum clients during the tender early days of feeding and bonding.

Beyond birth work, I am a second-generation homeschooler, lifestyle photographer, watercolor artist, and worship leader in my local church. Creativity, prayer and worship shape how I care for women—bringing beauty, peace, and reassurance into some of life’s most intense moments. I am an avid seeker of joy and believe it can coexist with pain and surrender.

I have experience supporting families in WNY local hospitals, local birth center, and in home birth settings. It is my great honor to walk with mothers in their most vulnerable and powerful moments—offering Christ-centered encouragement, holistic support, and a steady reminder that they are not alone.
